ABSTRACT

Most of the research study and review seeks to identify the type of effective leadership, however, that effective leadership is hard to find if the model of leadership that stands alone. An emerging solution is a model of integrative leadership. This article explores models of integrative leadership related to organizational effectiveness. The first section of this article discusses the various types of leadership theories. The second part is to discuss models of integrative leadership.

ABSTRAK

Sebagian besar penelitian dan tinjauan berupaya mengidentifikasi jenis kepemimpinan yang efektif, namun demikian kepemimpinan yang efektif sulit ditemukan jika model kepemimpinan itu berdiri sendiri. Sebuah solusi yang muncul adalah model kepemimpinan integratif. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi model-model kepemimpinan integratif yang berhubungan dengan efektivitas organisasi. Bagian pertama artikel ini membahas berbagai jenis teori kepemimpinan. Bagian yang kedua adalah membahas model-model kepemimpinan integratif.

The Fortinet Web Filter is a URL filtering service designed to assist system administrators in blocking content on their network. Since Fortinet URL filtering rules are amassed from a global pool of data, the software can end up filtering out Websites containing important tools for system administrators or staff. Instead of creating new filtering rules that could lead to inappropriate content passing through the filter, administrators can bypass the Web filter using a local SOCKS proxy with Secure Shell (SSH) that points to another remote, unfiltered destination. This can be set up on a home network or outside the filtered network.

PuTTY, A Graphical Interface (Windows)

Step 1

Download PuTTY, a graphical SSH client for Microsoft Windows that supports the creation of local SOCKS proxies that tunnel to a remote, unfiltered SSH server (see Resources).

Step 2

Double-click the PuTTY application icon to launch the program. Click the "SSH" radial button, then enter the remote, unfiltered SSH server's domain name or IP address. Unless the connection port is something other than the default, enter "22" for port number.

Step 3

Click the "Tunnels" option tab, then click the "Dynamic" radial button. Enter "localhost" and "8080" as the Source port. Click the "Add" button to create the dynamic SOCKS proxy for bypassing the Fortinet Web Filter.

Step 4

Click the "Session" option tab, then click "Connect" to establish a connection with the remote server. Enter your username and password to complete the connection.

Step 5

Launch your Web browser, click "Tools," then the "Internet Options" button. Click the "Connection," "Network" or "Proxies" tab, depending on your Web browser developer's choice of wording.

Step 6

Enter "localhost:8080" as your Web or HTTP/HTTPS proxy, then click "OK" to save the settings. You will now be able to access any website by routing your traffic securely to the unfiltered machine.

copssh (Windows)

Step 1

Download and install copssh from the developer's Website (see Resources). The copssh package installs Cygwin, a tool for using some UNIX applications on Windows, and the OpenSSH client and server software. This gives UNIX users a more native environment to work with SSH in Microsoft Windows.

Step 2

Click the "Start" button, then type "cmd" into the Search box and press the "Enter" key. This will launch the Microsoft Windows command console, a shell environment nearly identical to the old MS-DOS system.

Step 3

Type "ssh -C -D 8080 server" where "server" is the domain name or IP address of your remote, unfiltered shell. "8080" is the connection port and can be changed to whatever you find convenient.

Step 4

Launch your Web browser, click "Tools," then the "Internet Options" button. Click the "Connection," "Network" or "Proxies" tab, depending on your Web browser developer's choice of wording.

Step 5

OpenSSH (Linux or Mac)

Step 1

Launch a terminal window from your desktop or from the "Utilities" folder under "Applications" for Mac OS X. Linux and Mac systems come with OpenSSH clients installed since SSH is the preferred method of remote management for UNIX-like systems.

Step 2

Type "ssh -C -D 8080 server" where "server" is the domain name or IP address of your remote, unfiltered shell. "8080" is the connection port and can be changed to whatever you find convenient.

Step 3

Launch your Web browser, click "Tools," then the "Internet Options" button. Click the "Connection," "Network" or "Proxies" tab, depending on your Web browser developer's choice of wording.

Step 4

Tips & Warnings

This process is often called SSH tunneling or local port forwarding. The method can also be used to create secure connections because all data passed over SSH is encrypted.
